Norwell was first settled in 1634 as part of the settlement of Satuit, later Scituate. Today, it is a town in Plymouth County with just over 10,000 residents. The town is located on the South Shore of Massachusetts and is about 20 miles south of Boston. The Norwell Village Area Historic District is in the center of town. Gleason Archer Sr., the founder and 1st president of Suffolk University and Suffolk Law School in Boston, was a summer resident of the town. We are proud to serve the residents of Norwell.
